NOTES:
Pre-Season we had 5 players join us (Drew, Ryan, Ben, Thomas & Tom), & we saw a 4 players leave (Mat B, David, Niall & Edward).
Mid season we also lost 'Little Joe', who need to spend more time on his music - Good Luck Joe
We got off to a good start with our Play, but not always our results. We lost 3 early games to New Milton by just 1 goal, one of them in the 2nd round of the Bmth Cup. We also lost 3 -0 to Copnor North End in the Hants Cup 1st round - not a bad result against a previous Hants Cup winner & allround strong team.
Our 1st round Bmth Cup fixture was our best result @ 12 - 0, with 9 different players scoring.
We then went on to win some against midtable teams, & lose some to th top teams, but what ultimately cost us this season was 4 draws against midtable teams & a loss to Rossgarth (a team we finished above).
The league this year was smaller than before, & with us finding not many of our games postponed, we had a lot of free weeks in January & February. These were filled with a few Friendlies. A couple against Dorchester Town, although we won one each, we scored the most goals over the two games & looked the better team. The highlight friendlie was against Rossgarth, where we had the perfect opportunity to amend the earlier wrong (when we lost in the league), although no points were up for grabs - pride was! We won 8 - 3 & too say it was comfortable is an understatement.
However, those Draws & that loss were to ultimately cost us valuable points in the league, & meant we finished in clear 7th, with 5th & 6th clearer than they should of been, & 8th & 9th closer than they should of been.
Upon refection; we played some great football, & at times we were an equal match for anyone. Our style is pleasing on the eye but perhaps not direct enough - something we need to address next season eh...............?
Stats:
P18, W4, D4, L10, G+37, G-51, G/D -14, Pts 16, Pos 7th
The season finale was a friendlie v Cannon Colts @ Dean Court (home to A.F.C.B) which we won 4 - 3.

NOTES:
The fixtures were far kinder this season. Our opening fixture saw us record a record 13 - 0 away victory. This saw us top the table for the opening month, & we remained in the top 5 all season, eventually finishing 6th by one point come the last day of results.
This was our best position yet in 11-a-side, & was one place better than our original prediction & goal. So a very pleasing season.
Our Cup runs were not as good as last season, with us falling at the 1st hurdle in the Hampshire Cup, & being dumped out of the BYFL Cup in the Quarter Finals 8 - 0 to Poole Bay (the eventual Winners)
We lost one player before Xmas, otherwise the squad stayed strong & committed till the end.
Unfortunately one player declined to re-sign at the end of the season, opting to sign for one of the "TOP 4" clubs in our league.
We entered 8 Tournaments in the close season, & were very happy to get Runners up in the Electric Tournament & Winners in the Branksome Tournament. Our 1st piece of Silverware since becoming Runners-Up in the U8's League.

NOTES:
We lost our first nine opening fixtures, all against what was to be the top 7 teams in the league.
Drew (our keeper) emigrated to Canada with nine games remaining. Little Jo stepped in & did a great job between the sticks.
Happy to improve on last season, although feel we could of finished a few places higher.
